Wimbledon: The Stage Awaits
Compositor, FX Animator
With Nexus Studios under the art direction of Melanie Climent, I worked on Wimbledon's 2022 animated campaign as a compositor and an FX animator. I was handed 2 seperate shots to composite, and assisted on 2 others. I also animated the FX cloud explosion for Serena WIlliams' character to burst out of.
The compositing style was designed to transform us into the chalk world of the story. The compositing team worked closely together under the direction of Lead Compositor John Taylor to create a beautiful chalk dust effect on all of the 2D animation, with lovely design flourishes like pinching and brush strokes on the characters and the backgrounds.
Being under the art direction of Mel was magical and the whole team brought so much talent to the table to produce a beautiful video.
